Christoph will talk about scent and trailing and how they fit in with genetic abilities of our dogs.
When we understand common problems and how they are created, specific training can help the dog to gain experience and solve these issues.
Common issues are:
- Footstep tracking vs. blown scent
- Determining direction of a trail
- Lock on to the right trail at the scent object
- Scent Pool at the end of a trail
- End of a trail without find
